Homeopathic
Medicine on the Internet

T he ancient curing art of
homeopathy, or homeopathic medicine, has been founded by the German physician
Dr. Samuel Hahnemann
(1755-1843). Although its basic principles are very polemic, which causes
many physicians to consider it a kind of alternative or folk medicine,
homeopathic medicine has many followers and is recognized as an offical
medical specialty in many countries, including Brazil (where approximately
6,000 physicians are licensed to practice homeopathic medicine).
It's no surprise, therefore, that
one can find a large number of on-line information resources on homeopathy
on the Internet. We review briefly some of the most important here, followed
by brief comments. In this article, only links in English are presented.
The version in Portuguese has two subcategories: Brazil and International.
Additional lists of resources on homeopathy can be found under some of
the more specialized addresses listed below.
Please understand that I do not
personally endorse homeopathic medicine or support its claims that it works,
nor the State University of Campinas,my employers, does. This article was
produced with the aim of providing information for persons interested on
the subject matter.
