Center for
Biomedical Informatics is an interdisciplinary unit of research,
education and extension services of the State University of Campinas. It
was founded in 1983 by Prof.Dr. Renato
M.E. Sabbatini, and since that time is one of the most active and
respected centers in Latin America, holding a significant national and
international position by virtue of its numerous projects envolving Internet,
Medicine, Health Sciences and Biology in the Internet:

State University
of Campinas is a public institute of higher learning and
