Informédica Magazine is published by The
Center for Biomedical Informatics of the State University of Campinas.
It is a bimonthly magazine devoted to disseminate Informatics to physicians
and other end users of the healthcare community in Brazil. Each issue,
with a certified circulation of 26,000 is been distributed free of charge
to 7,000 cardiologists, 12,000 general practitioners and 7,000 other specialists.
Production and distribution is supported by the Brazilian pharmaceutical
industry Biosintetica Labs.
Other medical specialists, such as neurologists, surgeons, etc., receive
the magazine on an annual rotation basis.
The magazine, which is published in Portuguese, features tutorials,
applications, program listings, current news about Medical Informatics,
recent products and publications, forthcoming events, etc. First issue
was published in March/April 1993.

are available in the World Wide Web.
Authors from any country are invited to contribute papers to the magazine
in English, French, German, Spanish or Portuguese. The text will be translated
to Portuguese, if necessary, and edited to conform to the magazine's standards.
Texts of exceptional quality will be paid on a per-page basis. Please send
a letter of intention containing an outline of the intended paper before
submitting it. An author kit is available. A limited number of magazines
is available for distribution to interested persons Please drop an
e-mail note to the editor.
Attention
Informédica ceased publication on October 1995. It has been
continued by Informática
Médica and Intermedic
magazines.
